Just to make sure people know this. Knit 1 bike 1 is happening regardless of the Kickstarter result. I have a publisher, exhibitions and mini workshops all in place. The Itinerary is nearly finished and I set off on the 29th June.
I am waiting for the outcome of a small funding application and will also look at other funding options. But the important thing is - this project will happen. There is a Paypal button on this blog and the Create With Fibre createwithfibre.co.uk website if anyone still wants to support the project.
Meanwhile I am having a lazy day today! Then off to Dumfries tomorrow to steward at the Dumfries Guild of Weavers Spinners & Dyers exhibition. On Friday I am off to Aberdeen where I am delivering a two day spinning workshop.
Knit 1 Bike 1 making things week next week when I get back so watch this space for new artwork.

Knit 1 bike 1 - how to support the project
The Kickstarter campaign ends tonight and is unlikely to meet its target. Due to its rules, no pledges are collected unless the full amount is raised, so no one's card will be debited.
I have put a Paypal button on this blog and my website and if anyone would like to support the campaign this way then it would be very much appreciated.

A crocheted sheep, open studios and fundraising
Updated itinerary.
Scroll down a couple of posts to see the updated itinerary. I have amended it rather than put the whole thing in again.
More art work practise going on.
The sheep now has a head as well as horns. The eyes are a bit of a challenge and need some brown crochet cotton. Lots more work needed but the shape is not too bad. Next to do the body. chicken wire needed for the body shape methinks.
Meanwhile, I am printing out leaflets for Open Studios and willl have hands-on stuff for people to try on the day.
for those who don't know, I am fundraising for the Knit 1 bike 1 project and the last day of the campaign is Monday 27th April. Have a look at the Kickstarter video anyway, regardless of whether you want to back the campaign. Two minutes long and a bit of fun!

the scottish tapestry, coffee n cake and knit 1 bike 1
out practising i a different way today - looking forward to all those lovely cafes and being able to eat cake without putting on weight, what with all that cycling. And hey - my first blog post from the phone... Easy! Been making letters to wear as a tabard with tapestry crochet. So different to knitting them. Third attempt will do tolerably well. Just had,a sneak preview of Scottish Tapastry peoples panel. Am going to be supervising it lots as well as offering FOUR free workshops there. Peg looms n weaving sticks, weaving for beginners, and two needle felt workshops.
